Being self taught and trying to avoid becoming "locked in" to any particular style has enabled me to explore my imagination and intuition, which has resulted in producing pieces of abstract, figurative and animal forms. The outdoors has nurtured and enhanced my perception of the three dimensional world and has heightened my awareness of form over color.

Each piece presents its own particular set of problem solving. Starting with an idea, a sketch, to be transferred to a block of marble followed by actively using new and old methods for removing excess material while all the time leaving room for change, which prevents a dependence on any preconceived ideas.
